 of the Fourth Meeting of the Working Group on Legal Matters of the delegations of the Government of the Republic of Hungary and the Government of the Slovak Republic 

on the implementation of the Judgement of the International Court of Justice in the Case concerning the Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros Project

 

1.   The delegation of the Republic of Hungary, led by Mr. Marcel Szabó and the delegation of the Slovak Republic, led by Mr. Drahoslav Štefánek held negotiations in Budapest on 8 April 2002 on the issues concerning the mandate of the Working Group on Legal Matters.

2.   The delegations have discussed the issues concerning the mandate of the working group but could not reach agreement on certain points and could not finish the discussion on all questions.

3.   The Slovak delegation suggested to adjourn the meeting and to continue the discussion on the remaining points of the mandate within 2-3 weeks.

4.   The Hungarian delegation expressed its position for a need to seek the instruction of the Head of the Governmental Delegation of Hungary before resuming of the negotiations.

5.   The Parties agreed to get into contact concerning the continuation of the negotiations.

6.   These Minutes were done in the English language.
